HJ172(NO Manganese-oxide flux)
DESCRIPTION:
HJ172 is a fused type no manganese-oxide flux with jadestone-like granule of white to light gray color, about 10-60 mesh in size. When this flux is used foraustenitic stainless steels containing titanium or niobium on DC+, the slag is easy to remove. ZT. HJ172 is a high basic type fused flux with the low oxideized slag and alloy element loss during welding, therefore, the weld metal shows high toughness.
APPLICATIONS:
In combination with suitable wires, this flux is recommended for welding of high chromium martensitic steel(such as 15Cr12MOWV) and stainless steels containing Nb and Ti.
GUIDELINES FOR USAGE:
1. Dry the flux at 300-400 for 2 hours before use.
2. Completely remove rust, oil and dirt from the groove surface prior to welding.
